The Marine Store at Haven Harbour Marina is unique for many reasons. Our wide range of products, available in-house services and point of sale staff are top-notch, standing out among the Chesapeake Bay region.
Visitors to the store will find helpful crew behind the hull of a small picnic vessel named the "Ditty Bag," an old world reference to a receptacle of odds and ends used by sailors and fishermen. The boat has stood as a fixture of the Haven Harbour Marina experience since its addition in 2013.
"I think the boat is a special touch," said Assistant Marine Store Manager James Bedell. "It's the little things like this that set us apart from others on the Bay."
Over the years, Marine Store staff have shared scores of memorable experiences, most involving a dog.
"Some of the best times I've had behind the counter are seeing the dogs stroll in with their owners," said Administrative Assistant Jenny Nelson. "The regulars know just who to see for a treat or two."
With the addition of Haven Harbour South's Marine Store, slated to open spring 2020, experiences of a similar kind are sure to be made behind the counter of its very own point of sale.
"The new store at South will open numerous opportunities for us to expand our product offerings of quality yacht accessories, parts and soft goods," said Barbara Leonard, Marine Store manager. "We're looking forward to what the future holds."
