Haven Harbour Marina has a new service manager, filling the shoes left behind by previous manager Bill Neff's departure. Erik Lostrom, a respected marine services professional, has joined our ever growing team of over 25 in-house technicians and marine tradesmen.
Working all his life in the industry, Erik has 37 years of professional experience in a variety of disciplines. Before joining us here at Haven Harbour, he worked as a senior service technician at Bay Bridge Marina in Stevensville, Md., after running his own yacht yard for 11 years prior. Originally hailing from Toms River, N.J., Erik was drawn to the Chesapeake Bay through his passion and one of many areas of expertise: wooden boatbuilding.
"I enjoy the process and beauty behind wooden boatbuilding," explained Erik. "Although I now specialize in marine systems, my time rebuilding and restoring log canoes and other vessels will stay with me."
Erik finds the customers, their backgrounds and the nature of the job exciting. At Haven Harbour, Erik will assist Director of Service Operations Greta Sommers in day-to-day yacht service operations, scheduling, work order processing and project execution.
"From the moment I met Erik, I knew he would be a good fit," said Greta. "His calm demeanor and extensive knowledge have already proved to be a real asset to our team. I feel very fortunate to have Erik working alongside me day in, and day out."
Please join us in welcoming Erik to the Haven Harbour Yacht Services team, where he may be reached via email at erik@havenharbour.com, or by phone during scheduled business hours at (410) 778-6697.
