Each year, the folks at Chesapeake Bay Magazine host a voting campaign for readers, fans and the general public to rank their top picks for everything from restaurants and eats to lodgings, marinas, boatyards and Chesapeake Bay boating destinations.

This year, Haven Harbour Marina on Swan Creek was honored with a staff pick for “Best Resort Marina.”

We extend a special note of congratulations to all of this year's winners, but especially to Rock Hall's very own – Haven Charters for winning "Best Sailboat Rental" and Blue Crab Charters for taking home "Best Tour Boat Operator."

Thank you to all who participated in this year’s voting, as well as those who made the 2020 season one for the books. For more information on Chesapeake Bay Magazine’s Best of the Bay voting results, visit chesapeakebaymagazine.com. All Best of the Bay winners will be announced in the publication’s December Best of the Bay issue.

Does Rock Hall stand on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, or is it a riverside community of the Chester like neighboring Chestertown? Or, is it not so simple?
