Yesterday, Oct. 6, marked the opening of this year's U.S. Powerboat Show, held annually at downtown Annapolis' historic City Dock.
Haven Harbour staff, including Director of Sales Mark Bryden and Marketing Manager Sawyer Cornelius, placed finishing touches on an exhibit that has taken years of experience, weeks of planning and numerous days to setup.
"These shows are a great opportunity for us to meet with current and new customers." said Mark. "We are especially excited to be promoting Yamaha and Mercury outboards, discussing engine re-powers, speaking to our refit and paint project capabilities, and selling what few of our slips remain for next season."
Annapolis Boat Shows, the organization responsible for operating the annual power and sail shows, cites that powerboaters and sailors from around the world gather along miles of docks in downtown Annapolis each October to celebrate over 50 years of boat show experiences. In particular, the United States Sailboat Show is an internationally-acclaimed event, recognized as the world’s largest show of its kind.
Boat show goers enjoy the opportunity to board and inspect new models from virtually every major power and sail manufacturer, make side-by-side comparisons of models, talk to industry experts and representatives and see the latest in boating products and services. Visitors may also enjoy hours of exhibiting, shopping, eating, drink tasting and live entertainment over the course of back-to-back weekends.
"The Annapolis shows are an excellent opportunity for us to build brand awareness," said Sawyer. "They're also a great time to visit with customers new and old – whether they have stayed at our marinas for a weekend, or keep their boat with us season after season."
Haven Harbour will be manning Booths A2–A4 over the course of both power and sailboat shows. Learn more about the Annapolis Boat Shows by visiting them online at annapolisboatshows.com.

As of late a seasonal locale, Rock Hall is giving nearby Chestertown a run for their money in terms of number of open, year-round dining establishments.
